Affiliated membership of the Association of Quality Checkers (AQC)
This page has information about becoming an affiliated membership of the Association of Quality Checkers (AQC).
AQC welcomes affiliated membership from organisations who share our commitment to independent quality checking and have shown this by commissioning quality checks within their own organisations.
Local or health authorities affiliate membership is also welcomed as an indicator of commitment to quality and co-production.
Affiliated members can use the AQC Quality Charter mark
for as long as they remain an affiliated member.
In order to be an affiliated member, organisations must:
- Have a clear and accessible set of service standards and a mechanism for communicating these with people who are supported.
- Evidence an internal process for annual self-evaluation.
- Pledge an external quality check for at least 10% of people supported every 3 years.
- Commit to an annual follow up interview to determine if/how Quality Check recommendations are being implemented.
