New quality checking video from VIAS

A new promotional video for their quality checking services has been made by Values Into Action Scotland (VIAS). They established a quality checking service in 2014. VIAS offer an independent evaluation of support and services for people with learning difficulties and individuals on the autistic spectrum.

Values Into Action Scotland Quality Checkers check how well services are supporting people and then give recommendations on how to make them better.

Norma Curran of VIAS says: "To do this, we talk to individuals who are supported, staff and carers. We then provide the service with a report of our findings.

Through our quality checking process we help people to look at the support they have in their lives.

If things are working well it is really important to tell people. Maybe others can learn from what works well.

It helps to see what could be done to improve a person’s life.

It gives people a chance to have the life they deserve and independence.

It helps people to have freedom of choice and get control over how they are supported to achieve their dreams and goals".
